The CEO needed a way to turn audience curiosity into an interactive tool that led to preorders.
Ahead of a book launch, the team wanted to turn the book's core framework into an interactive assessment. Readers answer a series of questions, land in one of four result archetypes, and get pulled into a nurture sequence built specifically for that result. The CEO had already written the quiz questions and every email in the nurture sequence, so what was missing was the tech to bring it to the public. I set up the scoring logic, the platform connections, and the automation to route each person correctly, automatically, at any volume.
I built the quiz logic in Tally where each answer adds weighted points across four scoring categories, with tiebreaker rules for close results, calculating a final archetype the moment someone finishes. A Zapier automation catches every submission and pushes it into Flodesk, tagging the subscriber and labeling their specific result in their profile. From there, a branching Flodesk workflow reads that result and automatically enrolls each person into one of four nurture sequences. This system is fully automated and eliminates manual sorting, messy spreadsheets, and it works the same at 50 responses or 5,000.
I also documented the full system in a process doc, addressing how to edit quiz questions, update result labels, and what to check first if a step in the chain breaks. It's important to me that a team could maintain my tools themselves without needing me every time something changes.

The Tally build handled sequential scoring logic across multiple archetypes without a single hiccup, and the integration into our email system was seamless from day one. Working with Athena was easy, collaborative, and genuinely a relief."
